While I read and enjoyed both of Mr. Ewers "First" novels, the Eye Of Ra was much better written. Better character development and enough action and plot surprises to keep you interested until the last page. Pretty much a prequel to the first two books in this series, it fully answers the questions about "the Egyptian" in the second book, and answers them well. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.I bought all three of these books through the Amazon Kindle book store and still have them on my Fire, to be read again in a year or so.

This book filled in plenty of gaps so I enjoyed that. Can't wait to get back into all the cool Evo universe stuff. So much potential. I love me some super humans.
Great book, I love the story. I think I may have gotten this author's book out of order but still it is OK. I look forward to hearing more from the Eye of RA!
It was interesting .and thought provoking. It had a different take on ancient Egypt which I loved. I would have only taken a half star off for constantly using hieroglyphics as a noun instead of hieroglyphs. Can't wait to read the next installment. Yay!
After a bit of a wait to have some questions about the EVO Universe answered, the Eye of Ra delivered. Along with closing some of the gaps in the EVO Universe so far (e.g. What's the source of the EVO Virus?), it is a surprisingly moving story that Mr. Ewers has penned. I highly recommend giving it a read!
This is a very good story. Unfortunately it is full of spelling and grammar errors and has some sentences that mean absolutely nothing. Also the story doesn't end with the book which I find really annoying.
Loved The First books, thought I'd give this title a try, and definitely not sorry I did. The first two books in the EVO Universe had many editing issues, but this one, very few. I'm a sucker for a good origin story and this one did not disappoint. I can't wait for the sequel for this one; hoping to hear more about the rest of the family of the House of Ra. Excellent book!
For a young author, he definitely has learned his craft well. The stories so far have been a good combination of action, humor and suspense. While aimed towards the Teen crowd from the vocabulary used - it is also enjoyable by adults (I am 54). I am looking forward to the next one. Only thing I would ask is a bit more editor checking. Don't trust the computer to catch everything and to not switch homonyms on you. You will enjoy it.
